Purpose. The main purpose of this work is to substantiate the design features sandwich panels for manufacture container walls size 1SS. Methodology. To ensure strength walls, it proposed use as their components. This involves a panel from two metal sheets, between which material with energy-absorbing properties placed. solution helps improve by reducing its load. determine thickness sheet, corresponding calculations were performed using Bubnov-Galerkin method. It taken into account that sheet thin-walled plate subjected an evenly distributed stiffness make corrugated. analysis corrugations has led conclusion most appropriate rectangular configuration. Findings. was calculated. spatial model created in SolidWorks software package, and calculation Simulation, implements finite element took unfavorable loading mode during rail transportation - shunting impact. on example container's end wall, since wall highest loads event collision platform car. showed maximum stresses made corrugated sheets are about 258 MPa, 16% lower than permissible stresses. displacements assemblies occur middle part equal 3.1 mm. Originality. form scientifically substantiated. rational configuration determined. Practical value. study will contribute development recommendations modern modular-type vehicle structures efficiency transport industry.
